Sindh Revenue Board Cracks Down on Tax Evaders: Popular Restaurant, Event Management Company Among Those Fined
Karachi, and Dawat, an event management company located in DHA Phase VI, for non-compliance with tax regulations.
Both establishments were found to be under-reporting sales, resulting in the underpayment of Sindh Sales Tax (SST). Despite receiving reminders from the SRB, they failed to submit accurate tax returns.
In the case of Sajjad Restaurant, the SRB identified an additional violation. The restaurant's Point-of-Sales (POS) system was not integrated with the SRB's invoicing system, a mandatory requirement as per tax laws.
The SRB has emphasized its commitment to ensuring fair and transparent tax collection across Sindh. They have vowed to continue similar crackdowns on non-compliant businesses, urging all entities to adhere to the Sindh Sales Tax on Services Act, 2011.
